Why have a restricted key system?

The reasons are very simple. If you set up a program in your company where all keys issued to employees are logged then after an employee has left your company receiving the old key back from him will eliminate the need to change the locks. This translates to savings in the hundreds of dollars per year not to mention peace of mind.

Why high security?

Breaking and entering is typically accomplished by force. Increasingly however we are encountering the more ambitious crook who has invested in a set of picks (available through numerous mail order firms). Medeco locks have a long track record of being virtually impossible to open by picking.
